ily: i love you
ilysm: i love you so much
twitwtbatetwetksbtgatsofdotraadhihglngatme: They were infinite. They were the beginning and the ending; they were eternity. The king standing before them gaped as the shield of flame died out to reveal Aelin and Dorian, hand in hand, glowing like newborn gods as their magic entwined
- Soul eater trilogy by Eliza Crewe: ok so the mc is very unique, she is malicious, she is not a good person (let’s say an anti-heroine?), I mean she does kill people
and then eats their souls. Apart from that she is one of the most hilarious protagonists you will ever read about, seriously you won’t stop laughing. Also: the most important relationship in this books is not a romance!!!! (yes you heard well) is between her and her best friend, who is disabled. The worlbuilding might not sound very original, but the books are very feminist (wich is really satisfying) and don’t follow any usual cliches. (more about it here) - The queen’s thief series by Megan Turner: The story follows Gen, who is a thief, he is also a poc. I can’t go into details without giving spoilers, the best is going into this book without knowing too much about it. It’s perfect for those who like plot twists and unreliable narrators. The mythology in these books is amazing (it kind of has a greek/roman inspiration), some tales are even narrated in the books. The first book is kind of introductory and it might seem slow at first, but the next ones are amazing.
- Uprooted by Naomi Novik: This is a standalone book. Perfect if you like fantasy, magic and fairytales. The world building is geat and it has some polish/russian inspiration.
- The lumatere chonicles by Melina Marchetta: If you like fantasy you should definitley check out this trilogy. I mean: Amazing female characters who take no shit, Creative world building, beautiful writing, realistic and well rounded characters and relationships. The author does an exelent job transmiting emotions to the reader, I seriously cried at some points, but I also laughed. This is one of those storys that stay with you. I’ts also really diverse, it has poc and lgbt characters.
- Mistborn series: This series is perfect for people who like fantasy with complex world building and magic sistems (srsly it’s so creative). It also has very well rounded and realistic characters, and realistic relationships. Did I mention mindblowing plot twists?? (more about it here)
